Frequently Asked Questions
Do You Have Questions? We have answers (well, most of the times!). Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions you may have on Workplace Prayer. If you still can’t find the answer you’re looking for, just Contact us!
Workplace Prayer centers on trained intercessors who pray for businesses and teach those in the workplace to pray effectively.
This is our calling and vocation, and we think it’s the best job ever!
Theologian Abraham Kuyper, back in 1880, said, “There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry, ‘Mine!’”
The Lord cares about business. As our client, and California gubernatorial candidate Jenny Rae said, she was a socialist until the Lord said to her, “Business is the primary way I reveal my creativity on the earth.”
We want God’s kingdom to be brought to bear here on earth. Prayer prepares the way.
As our proposal says, this is what we offer to every client:
Our team offers focused and persistent intercession for you and your business, whether you send us requests or not. We pray with the expectation of victory, breakthrough, healing, acceleration, and increase.
• Contact: Email or message us requests weekly (or less often, if weekly is too frequent). For any last minute or emergency requests, send an email or text message. We love testimonies and answers, too, so share those with us!
• Communication: On an occasional basis, as we hear or sense something, we will share with you, via either email or voice memo.
• Training: Access the monthly group prayer call for instruction, testimonies, and impartation. You will upgrade your ability to pray for yourself and your business.
• Participation: Share the 30 minute weekly call with clients and the larger team.
Additional financial partnership offers additional one-on-one time.
We pray for everything. We pray for your business, your vendors, your staff, your clients, your family, your vision, your future, your healing, your church, your community, your contacts and network, your mind.
We pray for more of the Holy Spirit, and for increase.
Specifically speaking, we don’t offer a contract. But we do ask for a minimum three-month commitment. Though most clients begin to see breakthrough in days, deeper change does take time.
Lovely question!
Our publishing arm, Makarios Press, offers an ever-growing catalog of prayer resources: guides for fasting, creative scripture studies, new thinking on communion, and more.
We offer weekly prayer calls, open to our clients, and monthly Zoom calls.
Some clients choose to partner with us financially in order to have one-on-one calls.
And if you’re curious about bringing the kingdom to bear in the workplace? Both Bob and Amy have found tremendous benefit from Heaven in Business [https://heaveninbusiness.com]. Their library of resources is unmatched! Though not specifically dedicated to prayer, the catalog is quite impressive.
Interesting question!
Our clients range from solopreneurs to executives in organizations with thousands of people.
We pray for clients whose driving passion is to bring the kingdom to bear in the world, but we also have at least one business, sponsored by another client, run by an agnostic (at best), and several clients who wouldn’t identify as “Christian,” necessarily.
All of our clients have a firm moral compass, and seek to do good in the world. As far as we can tell, the Lord blesses them all.
Absolutely! Business owners, and people in business, are actually people, with families and friends and a circle of influence. We pray for every aspect of your life, and the Lord answers requests, both those asked and those unspoken.
We do travel. We love prayer walking over businesses. We also offer prayer for events, both leading up to the event, and on the spot.
But most of what we offer is virtual.
We offer weekly prayer calls, and our clients are welcome to join, either participating or listening.
We offer monthly Zoom calls, following the Acts 2:42 model: teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer.
We are also pleased to partner with other organizations, such as Swallowtail and Heaven in Business, for live events.
