Paying for Prayer?

From the time they started their business, my parents paid any staff who wanted to pray on the clock.

That always seemed like a practical outworking of their faith. They valued prayer, and they valued their employees, so why not pay them to pray?

Thirty years later, when I tried to hire several friends to pay for my own fledgling business, their responses surprised me: they were opposed. Some vehemently so.

Surprised, I turned to the scriptures.

Later, when I partnered with Bob Perry to bring prayer into the workplace—paid prayer, no less!—I needed this study even more.
